* Flash Flood Warning for:
Southern St. Landry Parish in Central Louisiana
this includes the Cities Of, Opelousas, Leonville, Krotz
Springs, Arnaudville
Lafayette Parish in South Central Louisiana
this includes the Cities Of, Scott, Lafayette, Carencro
Northwestern St. Martin Parish in South Central Louisiana
this includes the City of Breaux Bridge
Southeastern Acadia Parish in Southwest Louisiana
Vermilion Parish in Southwest Louisiana
this includes the Cities Of, Pecan Island, Kaplan, Intracoastal
City, Gueydan, Forked Island, Abbeville

* Until 345pm CST

* At 1240pm CST, National Weather Service Radar Indicated
Flash Flooding from a thunderstorm near Sunset, or Near
Carencro, moving East at 10 MPH.

* Other Locations in the Warning include but are Not Limited to Grand
Coteau, Erath, Youngsville, Delcambre, Broussard, Port Barre
and Cecilia

Flooding is Occurring or is Imminent. Most Flood Related Deaths Occur
in Automobiles. Do Not Attempt to Cross Water Covered Bridges
Dips, or Low Water Crossings. Never Try to Cross a Flowing Stream
Even a Small One, on Foot. to Escape Rising Water Move Up to Higher
Ground.

Texas, Including the Following Areas, in Louisiana
Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu
Evangeline, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Rapides, St.
Landry, Upper St. Martin and Vernon. in Southeast Texas
Hardin, Jasper, Newton and Tyler.

* Until 4pm CST this Afternoon

* with Already Saturated Grounds Across Southeast Texas And
Southwest Louisiana from Recent Downpours from Ike, Additional
Rainfall Expected today Ahead of and Along the Front will Only
Aggravate an Already Tenuous Situation. Additional Rainfall
Amounts of 3 to 5 Inches with Some Locally Higher Amounts Are
Possible Through today.

* Heavy Rainfall May Lead to Flooding of Roadways and Low Lying
Areas Prone to Flooding.

A Flash Flood watch Means That Conditions May Develop That Lead
to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very Dangerous Situation.
