DescriptionWintry Precipitation Likely tonight Into Early Thursday

A Powerful Upper Level storm System Spinning over the Central
Texas Coast is Forecast to Strengthen As It Moves East Across The
Northwest Gulf of Mexico tonight. As a Result, a very Cold Layer
of Air in the Lower Levels of the Atmoshpwere will be moving Into
The Region. Sufficient Lift and Moisture will Continue to Be
Present to Generate Precipitation, Primarily Rainfall for The
Rest of this Afternoon Into Early Evening, Though an Occasional
Mix with Sleet is Possible Mainly over the Texas Lakes Into
Central Louisiana.

As the Cold Layer Spreads Into the Region Later this Evening, Rain
will Begin to Mix with Sleet And/or Snow First over East
Texas, then Spread East Into Louisiana. toward Thursday
Morning, a Brief Change over to All Snow is Possible Before The
System Exits to the East and Precipitation Starts to Come to An
End.

total Precipitation Amounts are Expected to be around One Inch Or
Less. Due to Warm Ground Temperatures, Only Light
Accumulations, if Any, are Expected.
