* tornado Warning for:
Northwestern Iberia Parish in South Central Louisiana
this Includes, New Iberia, Avery Island
Lafayette Parish in South Central Louisiana
this Includes, Scott, Lafayette, Carencro
West Central St. Martin Parish in South Central Louisiana
Extreme Northwestern St. Mary Parish in South Central Louisiana
East Central Acadia Parish in Southwest Louisiana
Northeastern Vermilion Parish in Southwest Louisiana

* Until 900pm CST

* At 821pm CST, National Weather Service Radar indicated A
severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 8mi South Of
Lydia, or About near Cypremort Point, moving Northwest at 52 MPH.

* The tornado will be Near
New Iberia and 6mi Northeast of Delcambre by 835pm CST
Youngsville and Broussard by 850pm CST
Lafayette by 855pm CST
Scott, Carencro and 8mi East of Duson by 900pm CST

The Safest Place to be During a tornado is in a Small Interior Room.
Get Under a Workbench or Other Piece of Sturdy Furniture, Seek
Shelter on the Lowest Floor of the Building in an Interior Hallway Or
Room Such As a Closet. Use Blankets or Pillows to Cover your Body And
Always Stay Away from Windows.

if in Mobile Homes or Vehicles, Evacuate Them and Get Inside A
Substantial Shelter. if No Shelter is Available, Lie Flat in The
Nearest Ditch or Other Low Spot and Cover your Head with your Hands.

A tornado watch Remains in effect Until 1000am CST Saturday Morning
for Southwestern Louisiana and Southeast Texas.
