DescriptionThe National Weather Service in Lake Charles has Issued A

* tornado Warning for:
Southeastern Evangeline Parish in Central Louisiana
Southwestern St. Landry Parish in Central Louisiana
Northeastern Lafayette Parish in South Central Louisiana
this includes Carencro
Extreme Northwestern St. Martin Parish in South Central
Louisiana
Northeastern Acadia Parish in Southwest Louisiana

* Until 700pm CST

* At 617pm CST, National Weather Service Radar indicated A
Line of severe Thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado Along A
Line from 14mi Northwest of Sunset to 7mi
Southeast of Carencro, or Along a Line from 8mi
North of Church Point to Breaux Bridge, moving North at 18 MPH.

* tornado producing Storms will be Near
Sunset by 635pm CST
Grand Coteau by 640pm CST

The Safest Place to be During a tornado is in a Small Interior Room.
Get Under a Workbench or Other Piece of Sturdy Furniture, Seek
Shelter on the Lowest Floor of the Building in an Interior Hallway Or
Room Such As a Closet. Use Blankets or Pillows to Cover your Body And
Always Stay Away from Windows.

if in Mobile Homes or Vehicles, Evacuate Them and Get Inside A
Substantial Shelter. if No Shelter is Available, Lie Flat in The
Nearest Ditch or Other Low Spot and Cover your Head with your Hands.

A tornado watch Remains in effect Until 1000pm CST Friday Evening
for Southwestern Louisiana.
