* tornado Warning for:
Southeastern Evangeline Parish in Central Louisiana
Southwestern St. Landry Parish in Central Louisiana
this includes Opelousas
Lafayette Parish in South Central Louisiana
this Includes, Scott, Lafayette, Carencro
Northwestern St. Martin Parish in South Central Louisiana
this includes Breaux Bridge
Northeastern Acadia Parish in Southwest Louisiana
this includes Church Point
Extreme Northeastern Vermilion Parish in Southwest Louisiana

* Until 615pm CST

* At 533pm CST, National Weather Service Radar indicated A
severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado Near
Broussard, or About near St. Martinville, moving Northwest at 52
MPH.

* The tornado will be Near
Lafayette and 7mi Southwest of Breaux Bridge by 545pm CST
Carencro, Scott and 9mi Northeast of Duson by 550pm CST
Sunset and Grand Coteau by 600pm CST
Church Point and 8mi Southwest of Opelousas by 605pm CST

The Safest Place to be During a tornado is in a Small Interior Room.
Get Under a Workbench or Other Piece of Sturdy Furniture, Seek
Shelter on the Lowest Floor of the Building in an Interior Hallway Or
Room Such As a Closet. Use Blankets or Pillows to Cover your Body And
Always Stay Away from Windows.

if in Mobile Homes or Vehicles, Evacuate Them and Get Inside A
Substantial Shelter. if No Shelter is Available, Lie Flat in The
Nearest Ditch or Other Low Spot and Cover your Head with your Hands.

A tornado watch Remains in effect Until 1000pm CST Friday Evening
for Southwestern Louisiana.
